You patent inventions. Is the company focusing on inventing new things? Or is the company focusing on applying for patents for the inventions it has developed?

Possibly "develop" (depending on the exact meaning). "Invent patents" seems unlikely -- but "patent inventions" (where "patent" is the verb) is common.

Thank you so much.

You might want to say "The company develops and patents xyz (you briefly describe) technologies or products." But normally it is a given that a company will file for patents to protect its intellectual property. So unless mentioning patents is important to your message, you may want describe just the product or technology the company develops.
