Business email schreiben Hallo Liebe italki Users, hier muss ich eine Business Email auf Deutsch schreiben und I'll be VERY thankful if someone can correct my email. So, here is the situation: 1 month ago we talked with one of our suppliers that we will make the second order 2 months after the first order. The first one was about 1 month ago and the next one is suppoed to follow then in a month. Our supplier asks today if we can already tell them the delievery date for the second order. and here is my email: Der Liefertermin wird in der Besprechung mit dem Kunden an diesem Freitag besprochen. Wir können Sie frühestens diesen Freitag oder anderweitig nächste Woche informieren. more info for the email: we have a meeting with the client this friday and the delievery time will be discussed during the meeting. Meine Besondere Frage ist ob "Besprechung" das richtige Word ist und ob ich anstatt informieren das Word "mitteil" benutzen kann? sorry for mixing my language here... and thank you a lot in advance!!!

A small correction to your sentences: "Der Liefertermin wird in der Besprechung mit dem Kunden >am< Freitag, >dem xx.xx.2019< besprochen. Wir können Sie frühestens >am< Freitag, >evtl. auch erst Anfang nächster< Woche informieren." As this is a business context, you should specify the exact date, because the expressions "diesen Freitag", "kommenden Freitag" and "nächsten Freitag" are not always understood in the same way by all Germans. The word "Besprechung" is absolutely correct here, but "Mitteil" is not a word in German. Did you mean "Mitteilung" (message)? That would be something different. Or was it meant to be the English/Denglisch word "Meeting"? That one would also work, but I definitely prefer "Besprechung".
