Look at this situation, please.
Sarah told me something earlier. But later shy says smth.different to me. 'Let's go out tomorrow evening'. I say 'But you said you would be working tomorrow evening ( or were working?)' Which is correct?
It is more correct to say "But you said that you would be working tomorrow evening." However, " But you said you were working tomorrow evening." is also often used in informal speech.
