SENTENCES ABOUT THE TIME Could you please check my sentences? 1. It takes me four hours to fly from my city to Rome. 2. I would say that summer really lasts two months in my city. 3. Forty two year have passed since I left primary school. 4. I spent two hours studying English today. 5. It takes me about an hour to get from home to work. 6. «Fanny and Alexander» was the longest film I’ve ever seen. It went on for about four hours.

There's only one mistake. In sentence 3 it should be 'years' plural. You might get some answers from some people about sentence 6 - should you use 'was' or 'is' - the action of seeing 'was' in the past, but then it 'is' a fact (or your experience) - personally I'd say both are acceptable
