Represent by/with Is it wrong to say "read the text and represent it with a drawing" ?

Another alternative could be, "read the text and provide a detailed sketch or a diagram".

Represent it with drawing ...It means that drawing is a tool/instrument which is used in drawing.Much the same way Eat with your hands(use your hands as a tool,in order to eat) So,I see nothing wrong with the way you put your thought in your sentence.

I think it would sound more natural to say 'draw a representation of it'
