Why is -다고 being used at the end of this sentence? So I was watching a video and someone said “와 진짜 없다고?” to himself. It translated to “Really nothing?” (Just to give context: He was searching for certain things by himself in a mall store) I know that 다고 is one quoting form but he was talking to himself here and was clearly not quoting anyone because nobody told him that nothing was there. So is there a different way -다고 is being used here?

as u mention , he said "와 진짜 없다고? " he may think "it's hard to belive that there is nothing" and " a bit doubt about nothing there" (but not that serious)
