Can the objects of transitive verbs come after the preposition? I get confused when there's a preposition after a verb. The objects of transitive verbs can come after the preposition? For example: I am smiling at him OR I wanted to say sth to you. Him and you are direct objects?

him = object of a preposition you = indirect object
