make sb busy or what? Hi everyone! When we want to say that sb filled sb's time what do we say? make him busy? I know about keeping sb busy but It doesn't express the exact meaning that I want, I think. When we say keep sb busy it means that he was busy with something and we just give him more work to do. But what I want to project is: Sb hasn't being done anything and you give him a work to do. Thank u all in advance

'give him/her something to do' is probably the expression you're looking for. "He was doing nothing at work so his manager gave him something to do." "I was just lazing about watching TV. My wife thought I was bored, so she gave me something to do."
