Anthony, gelse de means literally 'Even Though I think',
de = 'Even if', 'Although', 'even though', 'in spite of the fact that'
gelse = gel-se = 'se' here is the conditional suffix, the 'if' part of the sentence, 'gel' means sounds like, I belive etc.
