What is the difference between them? 1. After all these times, you still hold some hope of rekindling the past romance with her. 2. After all these years, you still hold some hope of rekindling the past romance with her.?

correction: 1. After ALL THIS TIME [uncountable]..... There is very little difference. It is quite an expressive, poetic phrase - do you want to imagine lots of time that has passed, or lots of years? Up to you!! Tutor Zowee

Hi Simba - I don't think No.1 is correct - it should be 'after all this time', then I think the sense of both sentences is similar. Using 'all these years' of course refers to a number of years. If you use 'after all this time' we have no idea of knowing whether it is weeks months or years!
