Is there a slang for below context? Some people go to work everyday just to do their part and that is it.( It is like they already lost their hope and interest on their job and see them more as something just to make a living. )

The first phrase which came to my mind was 'wage slave'.

Hi Ethan, “Rat race” as a term for that routine sort of fits, but there’s a hint of optimism to “rat race”, where maybe a person can advance in their career by doing it. “Punching a clock” for the action of going to the job might work, but does not fully capture the hopelessness.

Fyi: Note that the word 'slang' is an UNCOUNTABLE noun - it refers to a type of language, not the words or phrases which make up that type of language. This is why you can't say 'a slang' or 'slangs'. If you want to be more specific, you need to say 'a slang word/a slang phrase/ a slang expression.
