Generally "industrial" means "industrial strength", or built for a harsh environment, or even "easily cleaned" It may be large, strong, possibly unattractive. It may be more of the kind in arcarde games that take a lot of abuse and are less likely to break. . It may be impervious to dust, grease, dirt in general, or liquids, eg "IP67". . So applications?. controlling industrial machinery, arcade where it gets used often and violently, dirty, or even maybe sterile (less likely without more description), cranes, diggers (maybe), steer remote cameras, robotic manipulators. https://www.google.com/search?google images "industral joystick control" . It may be just the thing for passionate gamers but likely lacking the blue mood lights :)
