during daytime
I notice many people write 'during the daytime' and some people 'during daytime'
"the" is necessary before daytime?
Would it be considered to be grammtically wrong if I don't write 'the'?

To me, an American English speaker, I think it is more common with the “the,” but I also think it is OK either way.
