Do I use correct tense here?
If I hadn’t read that letter, I wouldn’t believe that Trump is your step-father and that Hilary's family are your relatives.
Do I use correct tense for "Trump is... and Hilary's family are..." Should it be "was" and "were" instead?

Personally, I'd change 'believe' to 'have believed', 'Trump is' to 'Trump was', and 'family are' to 'family were':
"If I hadn’t read that letter, I wouldn’t have believed that Trump was your step-father and that Hilary's family were your relatives."
