When to use Chikaiuchini? Konnichiwa! When can I use "chikaiuchini" to say good-bye? For example, what would I say in a semi-formal situation but not with my boss or professor? For example I meet someone my age or older, then I want to say something like "Well it was nice meeting you, see you again sometime!" Onegaishimasu! Mada kana shika yomemasen.

When people will see soon, they say "ja, mata chikaiuchini" じゃ、またちかいうちに。 In my case ,I say " kyou wa arigatou soreja mata" きょう は ありがとう それじゃ また。 or more politely "kyou wa arigatougozaimashita soreja mata きょうは ありがとうございました。 それじゃ また 。 you should use "desu masu" form as possible when you talk to people usually ,because it sounds polite.
