A small thing, in English, we almost always put a space after a comma. We almost never put a space before a comma. The same is true for periods. So: Before you go home, buy me a cake.

OR We have known each other for five years) Your father called you five minutes ago. (GOOD) Before you go home , buy me a cake . (GOOD, but usually we would include "please") He forgot that he had made a deal with me before. (GOOD)
