Do phrases "let alone" and "much less" mean the same? Is their grammatical use same as well? Kindly provide some examples.

They do mean very similar things. At the moment I can't think of any situation where they really mean something different. For example someone may say I don't want to go shopping today, much less shopping at ten stores for five hours. They could easily say let alone instead of much less there.
