throw acid on him Hello, I was just wondering if we use the expression often to mean badly on someone. "Greg is a jerk. We should throw acid on him or something." Is it just referring to that he is a bad guy so we need to do something on him? Thank you for your input in advance!

No, as far as I know, this is not an expression. It sounds like the speaker was simply trying to think of a really cruel thing to do to someone. They could just as easily have said "we should throw rocks at him" or "we should light him on fire" or "we should beat him with a stick" or something else. It's just an example of something that would cause a lot of harm.
