"Movies will be playing throughout the day. Please check the schedule for screening times."

If it is one particular movie, you usually use the word "sessions" or "screenings" "There's many sessions/screenings of 'Zombieland' today". "There's several sessions of 'Gemini Man' on today". If you want to use the word 'schedule', you'd need to say something like, "Gemini' is scheduled to show many times today' or "Gemini is scheduled several times at the cinema today". 'Sessions' is the most common word to use, though .... If you were referring to many films (not one specific film), you can just say "There's a lot of different movies shown today", or "There's a lot of different movies scheduled today".
