MTV video Does "MTV video" in the following text mean "music videos that MTV plays"? Context: This notion might be hard to appreciate in our digital age in which images are seamlessly juxtaposed as if in a continuous present tense in which their potential strangeness is flattened out by a seductive allure that ultimately tries to sell us things. This is the case in advertising, but also in MTV video, in which random and associative images are projected on the scale of collective dreamscapes that appear as if they belong to no one, but are addressed to a subconscious stratum of consumer desire rather than stemming from the unconscious dynamism of the interrelationships between word, image and sensation.

Yes, you are correct. I interpret MTV Videos to be referring to music videos that MTV usually plays. This could also have the additional meaning of 'videos' that are 'only ever shown on MTV'. For example, I don't think MTV plays lots of Johnny Cash. More that they play top 40 or the most popular music on the market now. P.s I really like the context language being used!!
