How do you connect these 2 sentences? Hi How do you combine these two tk make an adjective clause? The police arrested the man. I saw the man steal a handbag. Can I say: The police arrested the man whom I saw steal a handbag. ? Can I say : ....I saw steal....? Isn't it wrong? Thanks

Hi Nimas, The first one is correct, but I would avoid “whom”. You could also put the combined sentence into passive voice: The man who I saw steal a handbag was arrested. (Here it becomes clearer that “by police” is rather redundant.)
