Our teacher keeps giving weird sentences... I don't know if it's appropriate to post something like this in this section, but one of our English teacher at school keeps driving me mad sometimes by making grammar mistakes; therefore, I just want to make sure if these two sentences are correct since they sound a bit weird to me and I don't know what to believe from the handout she gave us. 1. The police showed to pull over for a check. 2. The way of one's talk will bring put his/ her personality. Thank you in advance.

Indeed, they are both wrong. Perhaps these sentences were created with the "help" of Google Translate. 😜 The first one should be something like: "The police pulled me over ..." (to perform a search) (to check my documents) "The police was signalling to me to pull over ... (to perform a search) (to check my documents) The second sentence doesn't make sense to me at all. Unless the teacher means something like: "The way we speak reveals who we are." Or to use the words provided: "The way one speaks reveals one's personality." I hope this helps.

These are both incorrect. 1. The police slowed down and pulled her over for a check. I would never say that but I'm limited by the words utilized in the sentence. 2. The way one "speaks" "shows or highlights " his/ her personality.
