Can someone explain the role of '하면' in this sentence? 내가 어떻게 하면 잘 이끌 수 있을까? I was translating 'how can I lead well' on Papago - I understand translating programs aren't already reliable but I was wondering if 하면 actually plays a role here or is there a better way of say 'How can I---' Many Thanks

(으)면 is conditional clause, So '하면' originally means similar to 'if I do this~' And 어떻게 = (in) What way / 이렇게 = (in) this way / 저렇게 = (in) that way So, '어떻게 하면' is "If I do (in) 'What way' 내가 어떻게 하면, 잘 이끌 수 있을까? => If I do What way(=How), can I lead well?
