Is internet a good source to get marriage?

I think internet is a good way to meet someone before building a serious relationship. I think that after meeting on the internet, one should meet a person to learn more about him/her and only then might a relationship begin.
This is a natural phenomena that this world is a place of different types of human beings. So there are good and bad people on the internet as well. You just have to take your time and make sure you really get to know somebody before things get serious.

No Flexone, because some people could be scammers and want to take your money. Another reason is that you have no way of knowing if people are telling you the truth and if their photo is a recent one or not. Be very careful.

Well the best thing both in real life and internet is not to go around saying "I search serious relationship for marriage!" that's good way to scare every bit more sane and decent candidates off and pull every possible scammer in.
Also using common sense and taking it slow and getting to know the person properly (I mean REALLY properly) also helps in both internet and real life. If you go around proclaiming that you search for marriage right from the first moment every scammer in the area will smell your desperation.
I have seen few really clever scams but usually the success of scammer doesn't have that much to do with the ingenuity of him/her but utter stupidity and naivity of the victim.
Few weeks ago some group of foreign men scammed around 10 000 euros out of retired man around here. They promised to find him the woman he had seen in bar. Those foreign men claimed that they knew that the woman was in Sweden and that they knew where she was and promised to find the woman for the retired Finnish man but that they needed some money to cover the expenses for the trip. Well they sucked lot of money out of that man and wasted it into partying and living in expensive hotels. Seriously I don't understand how someone can be so damn stupid and naive to spit out that amount of money to total strangers in return of totally absurd and vague promises.

Eurgghh... no.
As Jura pointed out, what you will discover about a person online is basically only what they tell you - and it's easy to lie online.
Yes, you can meet many nice people online, but having them with you in 'real life' is a different matter. You can be online friends for years, but if you get to meet them in person, in some ways you are starting the friendship again, from the beginning.
Please don't trust the internet for short-cuts in your life. It has its limits also. ;)
