What is meaning of below? Webster the cat was very unhappy, for some reason. He spent a long time being the only cat of a household, but I gather he was unhappy. It is a surprise that having been solitary for so long that he would find happiness with another cat. "Better half" refers to a female companion or mate (in this case, another cat) Now ever since arriving at his new home, he has been given love and attention and that is bonding him to humans and making him feel better, because the humans love him so much. So it seems that Webster has moved into a home with another cat and humans who are treating him well and he has responded well in return. Is it this meaning.?The cat owner was unhappy therefore he brought another cat.The cat owner took new cat to another home were his family felt happiness with new cat.

No, Mrs Shipra you are not right. The extract does NOT say that the owner was unhappy; it says only that the cat was unhappy. The extract does NOT say that the owner took the cat to another home; it says only that the cat arrived at a new home. The extract says that the cat (Webster) is happy with his new cat friend and that the humans give him love and attention. So, Webster the cat was unhappy, but the writer did not realise this until Webster the cat moved to a new home and found happiness with the friendship of another cat and owners who treated him well. It's all about the cat, not the owners. To ascribe human feelings and emotions to animals in this way is quite common, especially in writing for children. It is called anthropomorphism.
