Economical Question: Why the US government massively ramps up the debt sales in treasure market? China has consistently unloaded agency bonds and put most of its new money into Treasurys. The big change in the Treasury market in recent months hasn't come from China.China's purchases, while obviously large, have become relatively less import in the Treasury market. However,USA government still pegs away at increasing the number of debt sales without having to pay higher interest rates. So whats the main reason behind,in your opinion?

The rapidly growing supply of US debt is clearly an issue, but the alternatives for them are no better. Many of the markets that have some depth to them such as UK gilts or JGBs carry as much or more risk than the US government debt.

Cowardice in Congress. Not enough people in Congress (or the White House) have the courage to say "no" to things the US taxpayers can't afford. It's terrifying.
