Which is right? 을 or 은? How was your weekend? My weekend was good. or 주말은 잘 보냈어요? How was your weekend? My weekend was good. Best of the replies so far : < softer / grammatically correct My weekend was good. 네, 이번 주말은 좋았어요 < street / casual / common Yes, the weekend was good. < easiest/short/beginner level. Yes, had a good weekend. How was your weekend? < Your weekend passed well? < literal translation >> 은 identifies the topic/ is softer - less abrasive

How was your weekend? My weekend was good. or 주말은 잘 보냈어요? How was your weekend? (Using '은' clarifies what the topic is, and sounds softer than '주말 잘 보냈어요?' If you want a soft option, pick '주말은 잘 보냈어요?' up.) We would say '네, 이번 주말은 좋았어요" instead of '내 주말은 좋았어요'.

How was your weekend? My weekend was good.
