현재 is used in formal writing, you'll hear it from news anchors rather than ordinary people. I see the news anchors mean 'at present/so far' by 현재. 지금 means now, as mitong hk-tw says. Good day. 좋은 하루. ^ ^

In terms of meaning, I would say that 현재 has a meaning of "at the present stage" or "at present", whereas 지금 tends to have a meaning of "(right) now" or "at this moment". Good day. / 좋은 일일 을.
