about me I don't attend many classes in the university cuz some teachers don't explain the lessons well so I don't understand what they say , for that I prefer to stay at home and study by myself .

yes , i think so as we just afraid about them and we care for their future. we should do that , no for making lots of harms for them but to benefite them. you can see alot of students , when the exams become closer , they started to cry and say we donot understand alot of thing as we didnot go to the university and listen to the professor when he gave lectures. also some of them started to make little paper and write in it main points to make it to cheet in the exams. So going to the university is the best way for make that students donot cheet and success.

I thing the students have to decide themselves. By the way, teaching by the guard-baton will never be a health for students. The lazies will be canceled soon or later. Of course we shouldn't forget that different universities teach for the different specialists. Perhaps in some universities the students should be made to attend the lasses by a strict order.

As for me, I attend some classes that seem necessary to my major. Meanwhile, I'm always absent from those general courses, especially some boring theoretic classes. But, just as Denis said above, teachers always make attendance equivalent to a test score, thus, I have to ask some of my classmates to answer my attendance.

No, I don't think that university students should be required to attend classes, but I do think that they should be encouraged. One way to do this is to make attendance equivalent to a test score. It can be averaged with the other marks that the class receives on their regular tests and exams. 100% attendance receives an excellent mark, 90% attendance a good mark, 80% attendance an average mark, etc. In this way the students who attend classes will receive better scores than those who don't, and it will only be a small penalty for those who miss for valid reasons like work or sickness.
