What is the advantage of using MSN Messenger more than Skype? Many people here use MSN to chat and video call. I wonder it has better functions than Skype has ?

MSN is originally designed for instant text messages, only adding the voice and video later and not terribly well. Skype, on the other hand, was originally made for voice chat, with the text messages mostly meant for telling whoever you were talking to to turn on his speakers/plug in his microphone. Apparently, some part of the base design has made them ideal for video, as their quality on both this and voice is far beyond anything I've seen over MSN.

Yoko - I prefer Skype. The quality of the calls is very good. Besides, MSN is a Microsoft product, so you may be sure that it is not perfect, for example MS Vista operating system, and many other examples. May I make a suggestion about the way you worded your question? (Perhaps you simply left out the word "if" - I often make mistakes when I'm typing at my current typing speed of 8 words per minute:) You wrote: "Many people here use MSN to chat and video call. I wonder if you appreciate my suggestion:).
