Request for a preface of a book Visions of Liberty : The Bill of Rights for all Americans by Ira Glasser Arcade Publishing, New York, 1991 This is the book info below: I need the preface of "Visions of Liberty by Ira Glasser", please help me. (If you could borrow the book from your library, please type or scan the preface into your computer and post it on here. If you would do this for me, I should be grateful indeed.)I never read the book, I always thought its preface starts by the following similar sentence: Samuel Johnson said: "Patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel." and ends by the following similar sentence: Judge Learned Hand said: "Liberty lies in the hearts of men and women; when it dies there, no constitution , no law, no court can save it; no constitution, no law, no court can even do much to help it." Now it seems not so.
