Dialect is the form of a language that people speak in a particular part of a country, containing some different words and grammar, etc. “A regional dialect.” “The poem is written in northern dialect.” Slang is a very informal language that is usually spoken rather than written, used especially by particular groups of people. “Army slang.” “A slang expression.” “'Chicken' is slang for someone who isn't very brave.”

slang 是俚语 , 俏皮话, 约定俗成的说法, 大家都可以用。 比如你很有才 dialect 是方言, 只在某一个地区使用的特殊语调,比如东北话, 闽南话
