How should I answer questions about weight? Check the example in the details please! Thank you :) How heavy are elephants? 'They're 5000 kilos' or 'They weigh 5000 kilos' or both ?

They both work fine in casual conversation, although "they (each) weigh 5000 kilos" sounds a bit more professional. :)

As mentioned above, either is fine. The first is more casual and relies on context. The second is complete. In a scientific context, you might also say "the average Asian elephant has a mass of 5000 kg"

Either is fine.
