Could you tell me the difference between join and take part in?

join = to become part of; to become a member of 1. You are not in a club. 2. You join the club. 2. Now you are a member of the club. Take part in = be active within a certain activity Naturally, if you want to take part in an event, you have to join the group of people that are doing it. Hence the confusion between the two words.

it's the same thing but I would say join = not such active role take part in = active role in something
