What "edgy-artsy" means in the following sentence: "An area that was edgy artsy"? I heard these expression in a lecture in www.TED.com.. Thanks for your answer,

Wow! TED.com is an excellent website. Congrats to you for using such a great resource. 'edgy' or 'artsy' means extremely creative, very far from normal, avant garde, etc. example: 'I like edgy music.' or 'That film was a little too artsy for my taste.' Keep up the good work!
