Chinese learning software Can anyone suggest a good DOWNLOADABLE and free Chinese-English dictionary, and a downloadable and free software which converts pinyin into chinese (with the possibility, of course, to choose the characters, much like MDBG Chinese typing program)? Am lost in a sea of possibilities....

MDBG uses CEDICT, which can be downloaded and used offline. http://www.mdbg.net/chindict/chindict.php?page=cedict Why so complicated? http://zdt.sourceforge.net Pity they stopped developing: http://wakan.manga.cz Isn't it strange that there is no good Chinese tool software coming out of China?

If you have windows 7 just turn on the Chinese keyboard in pinyin.
