I disagree that teenagers who commit major crimes should receive punishment equivalent to the one for adults. It is true that it should depend on how seriously an offender has damaged the victims; long-term imprisonment needs to be sentenced for homicide or arson. But it is unfair to punish them as harshly as for sensible grown-ups, given that an adolescent's personality is still being characterized in their teens. Furthermore, there would still be much chances of them reintegrating into society after rehabilitation such as offender education or volunteer activities. Would be very much grateful if some people kindly corrects my English above. Thank you in advance.
