Hi, everyone Let's say a teacher is giving a lecture and says this to their students: "The reason I decided to bring/put this discussion to you is because it covers a lot of concepts that will be on your test." Does it sound odd to say "put/bring this discussion to you"? What could I say instead? Thank you very much!

You could also say, "The reason I decided to present you with this discussion..." I think "put" sounds unnatural, and with "bring", you'd probably phrase it as, "bring you this discussion".
