In Japan, coming of age day is the second Monday of January. Unfortunately, the ceremony didn't take place in many local prefectures this year because of covid-19 re-outbreak. The officials got the word out in advance. We have no choice, but that is unfortunate. I think coming of age day is something special for not only young people but also their family. I'm sure their parents and grandparents want to see their children's pound moment. In this day and age, going to the crowed is high risk since we might be infected with the virus. Instead, many families must have celebrated their children at home while taking photos and having gorgeous dinner. By any chance, this celebration style became new normal under the circumstances. Now, young people might think it was too bad, I'm pretty sure they think it was for the best when they look back sometime.

Gorgeous means beautiful. We don’t usually use it to describe food. Overall very good! 😊
