Film review. I recently saw Baby Driver and it was one of the dullest movies I’ve ever seen. It is an action movie that depicts what happens to a debtor (Ansel Elgort) who is forced to participate in a robbery. While watching it I wasn’t really keen on the story because it did nothing for me. Actually, it is quite exhilarating for the first 20 minutes but the more you watch this movie, the more boring it gets. (I’m not sure what you meant by “in setup”) Basically, «Baby» is forced to become a getaway driver for a string of bank robberies. Furthermore, he falls in love with a waitress (Lily James) and he decides to end his criminal actions for her sake. However, it turns out to be easier said than done. Overall, the story is predictable. When I was watching the film, it didn’t hold my attention at all. In addition, it contains a lot of music but the problem is that it appears too often. It feels like you are watching a weird musical with chase and fight scenes and things just don’t add up. I wouldn’t recommend Baby Driver to anyone in spite of its high rating (92% on Rotten Tomatoes). It’s a typical big-budget Hollywood film – very commercial.
