The most amazing photos I took were not necessarily those of the most spectacular places I visited. Actually, the beauty of a wonderful landscape can be quite tricky to capture on a photograph and, on the opposite, little (ugly) things of everyday life can look astonishingly good on a picture, provided that the colours, the shapes and the framing result in something aesthetical. Even without that, a simple black and white portrait can be extremely touching and moving. Having said that, I guess the most amazing photos I took were those of the monastery of Santa Catalina in Arequipa (Peru) because of the amazing colours and beautiful shapes of its buildings, and also because of the serenity and peacefulness of its little alleys and cloisters.

Anthony, you write very well. There were just a few small details with prepositions and things that are difficult to master in English. Also, I agree very much with your view of photography.
