How The Grinch Stole Christmas, the old one. I have no idea why it is my favorite movie. I know it's weird, kind of frightful for some people, sometimes cliche or poorly written BUT I think it is a masterpiece. It's funny, people look different, it's an entire new and "original" world, it is a bit chaotic most of the time, it has "the excluded guy" as the reason why he is the villain and the reason is just so sweet and relatable that it makes me melt. I like he is not a villain itself. He's just frustrated, grumpy, feels excluded, hates christmas and isolates hisself. The purpose of this movie is just show how words can affect someone, I think? It's too pure and brings a real message at the same time I don't find it cheesy or cringe. For me it's perfect, I love the Grinch.

My favorite movie is How The Grinch Stole Christmas, the old one. I have no idea why it is my favorite movie. I know it's weird, kind of frightful for some people, sometimes cliché or poorly written -- BUT I think it is a masterpiece. It's funny, people look different, it's an entire new and "original" world and it is a bit chaotic most of the time. It has "the excluded guy" as the reason why he is the villain and the reason is just so sweet and relatable that it makes me melt. I like that he is not a villain himself. He's just frustrated, grumpy, feels excluded, hates Christmas and isolates himself. The purpose of this movie is just to show how words can affect someone, I think? It's too pure and brings a real message at the same time. I don't find it cheesy or cringe (or ¨cringey¨ or ¨cringeworthy¨). For me it's perfect. I love the Grinch. ~~~~~~~~~~ ¨Cringe¨ being used as an adjective will sound very slang. Some of our dictionaries have reluctantly given permission that ¨cringey¨ or ¨cringy¨ might be acceptable informal alternatives for the adjective ¨cringeworthy." "Cringeworthy" itself is a fairly new word -- 1977. This shows how quickly words evolve :-) This was a really great explanation about why you like this movie!
I'm glad that you discovered this classic holiday movie! I agree that there is something special about this movie because we can enjoy watching it again and again, even as adults :-)

I’m new here so maybe I’m not responding properly, but I love this movie too!! It’s definitely my favorite Xmas movie. And the first correction is not done well; perhaps he doesn’t realize that “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” is the title of the movie, so all words besides articles within the phrase should be capitalized, and we do say “cliche” all the time in English, plus some other errors made in the correction…though you seem to be a native English speaker like me as you’re using a lot of colloquial, informal writing.

How the Grinch stole Christmas, the old man. I have no idea why it's my favorite movie. I know it's weird, kind of scary to some people, sometimes stereotype or poorly written BUT I think it's a masterpiece. funny, people look different, it's a whole new and "original" world, it's mostly messy , it has the reason he's the villain and the reason it's so cute and relatable is that it makes me melt. I like that he's not a villain himself. He's frustrated, grumpy, left out, hates Christmas, and isolates himself. The purpose of this film is to show how words can affect someone I think. It's too pure and carries a real message at the same time. I don't find it cheesy or creepy. For me it's perfect, I love the grinch.
