My favorite movie is How The Grinch Stole Christmas, the old one. I have no idea why it is my favorite movie. I know it's weird, kind of frightful for some people, sometimes cliché or poorly written -- BUT I think it is a masterpiece. It's funny, people look different, it's an entire new and "original" world and it is a bit chaotic most of the time. It has "the excluded guy" as the reason why he is the villain and the reason is just so sweet and relatable that it makes me melt. I like that he is not a villain himself. He's just frustrated, grumpy, feels excluded, hates Christmas and isolates himself. The purpose of this movie is just to show how words can affect someone, I think? It's too pure and brings a real message at the same time. I don't find it cheesy or cringe (or ¨cringey¨ or ¨cringeworthy¨). For me it's perfect.
