These beautiful white flowers along the roadside in my city are oleanders. Their Chinese names are 夹竹桃. I knew of them when I was a child and I think they are the kinds of flowers I learned the most earlier. Back in the old days, my father planted a few oleanders in my front yard and told me they were oleanders, and they are a kind of Chinese medicine. But in my memory, it seemed I had never seen them blossom. But now, as you see, they are blossoming brightly and densely and they are indeed a bright scenery in the city.
