What's the difference between another and other?

Who is missed? Who is missing? When I count people, I forget someone, which expression is correct?

Do these two sentences mean the same? 1) You are sitting here alone. 2) Here you are sitting alone. Does it have a special meaning when we use "here" first? Like "Here you are talking about..." "Here you are eating a sandwich..."

Is it ok to say ‘Come to buy your clothes at our sale. Chances are valuable!’ Thanks

I've learned that after subordinate conjunctions a subject can be omitted when the subject matches the one in the main clause. I recognize “than” as a subordinate conjunction, but in the subordinate clause in the sentence below it is ‘land and water’ that is omitted. Not ‘they’. Why is that possible? “Plant-based meats have been gaining popularity. One U.S. company is using mushroom root to make its products. They use less land and water than is needed to raise animal meat and produce, which in turn lowers greenhouse gas emissions.”

Which is ok? 1. Socks are two dollars each. 2. Socks are two dollars each pair. Thanks

Hi! I used to learn that a definite article "the" plus an adjective word can turn into a noun, eg "the rich". Are the following two sentences applying this usage? Or, could you help summarize what this usage is? 😥 1. "He is one of *the most influential* in China". (According to dictionary, "influential" can be a noun, so maybe this is not an instance for the rule "the+adjective word=noun"? ) 2. “These brands are starting to attract *the most fashionable* of the country's huge luxury-consumption population” (How I would write: "These brands are starting to attract the most fashionable *people* who come from the country's luxury-consumption population")
