Spend dedicated time improving your American English pronunciation with me! 🗣️

We will take each word apart and look at the individual sounds so we can put it all together again to speak clearly! I like to look at word stress, syllables, what letters have similar sounds to words you may already know, come up with creative ways to remember what we learned, and show you how your tongue and mouth move to make each sound. I really like collaborating with a student to figure out the best ways to learn in a way that works for them.

Together we will learn things in context that you will never learn about in a normal English classroom. 👀 When to use certain words & when not to use those words. What to say & when to say it.

If it’s ‘taboo’ for a normal classroom, you’ll probably learn about it here. We talk about real topics: Slang, culture, lifestyle, relationships, gender, sexuality, feminism, race, reproductive rights, disabilities, skincare, makeup, & way moooore. 🤘

This was a 120-hour course incorporating grammar & language teaching methodology, lesson observation, practice creating lesson plans, and working with students of different ages, levels, etc.

I double majored in English Language & Literature and Women's & Gender Studies.

As of April 2024, I have taught over 1,000 hours of 1-on-1 English lessons via Zoom and other online platforms. These lessons incorporate grammar, vocabulary, citizenship test preparation, conversation, preparation for English-speaking jobs, reading, writing, and more.
