This lesson focuses on discussing your goals in English and how to speak with a high level of fluency in English conversation. It requires a lot of student participation in speaking and listening.

I am here to help you improve your writing skills based on your needs and interests! Some examples of the topics I cover include:

In our lessons, we will go over different writing styles, from informal to formal. You will learn how to use modals and high-level vocabulary.

🔔Please note that homework will be assigned, as it is an integral part of the learning process. However, if you prefer, we can do shorter assignments during class instead.

Writing for Business and School

Practice saying your opinion and sharing your thoughts on a variety of topics. We can talk about your favourite food, hobbies, work, travel, food, books, music, movies, and more. If you're not sure what to talk about, don't worry! I can lead the conversation. Let's have fun and practice English conversation together.

Practice English Conversation

Gain a better understanding of fluency and learn to communicate more effectively in English. Fluency helps you communicate more naturally and smoothly in English. We will practice fluency input through listening and reading, and output through writing and speaking. There will be a focus on introducing new vocabulary and phrases through a large variety of lesson topics.  

My lessons are based on themes and questions. For example, "Why do we Dream?" Another lesson is about why "um, er, ah, oh" noises are not bad filler noises.  They are useful and unique to each language. And there are many more themes and lessons to choose from.

English Fluency  - Intermediate to Advanced

Reading is one of the best ways to bring your English to the next level. It increases your vocabulary because stories help your brain remember! Novels and other stories are also a way to learn about different cultures and travel to new worlds. In this lesson, we will read stories that interest you. 

Please note, graphic novels/comics are also included as options in this lesson as they are one of the best ways to increase English literacy. Comics have visuals that help in both creating memory and memory recall. 

In every class, we will:

☆ Engage in note-taking journals

Reading English: Novels and Other Stories

60 hours of online classes that focus on teaching English to the age range of 5-12 years old.

60 hours of in-person classes that focused on the main points of ESL teaching as well as different teaching styles and methods. There was also a small in-person practicum lesson required to pass the certificate.

300 hours of training combined with passing TESOL Canada's Board Exam for the Advanced TESOL Accreditation Certificate.

A 30-hour course that covers important business elements: principles of teaching business English, needs analysis and curriculum design, business speaking skills, business writing skills, and intercultural training.

This is a 30-hour course that covers principles of teaching English for IELTS exam preparation, such as teaching IELTS listening, reading, writing, speaking, and vocabulary.

60 hours of online classes that focus on teaching English to the age range of 13-19 years old.

I taught at a public high school. I created lesson plans, assessments, managed classrooms, and proctored exams. I taught primarily as a team teacher with local Japanese teachers. I was also in charge of my own class alone occasionally. My teaching was formally assessed by members of the Board of Education a few times a year and I passed all the assessments with good comments.

My role is tutoring teenage students one-on-one online and in-person for ESL, English Language Arts, and Social Studies. I also occasionally host special study classes for government exam preparation.

This job role is a public school teacher for English Language Arts and teaching English as a Second Language (ESL). My class sizes range from 20-40 students and I am responsible for all planning and assessments.
