*Please note: my conversation practice lessons will feature conversation prompts which I will prepare based on your interests and level. (You may choose the topic or I can choose an interesting topic for each lesson) I find that including conversation topics / prompts in my lessons helps with the lesson flow (avoiding any uncomfortable silence) while still leaving lots of opportunity for free conversation.

I will choose a timely news article for us to study based on your interests and level. Alternatively, we can work through an article of your choosing.

📌 Improve your vocabulary and pronunciation. I will provide corrections as you read the article out loud and I will help you improve your pronunciation and reading fluency. 

📌 We will discuss any grammar points or words in the article that you don’t understand. 

📌 We will discuss the article itself and share our opinions.

📌 We can work through the program together, starting at any level, covering a wide variety of grammar and speaking skills or we can focus our lessons on specific skills of your choosing (ie. future tense, present continuous, irregular verbs)

Learn English through active reading and novel study.

📌 We will improve English skills by reading a novel together (We can read a novel of your choosing or I can offer suggestions based on the student's age and level) 

📌 Popular novel choices include: Charlotte's Web, New Kid, The One and Only Ivan, The Giver, Anne of Green Gables, Matilda, The BFG 

📌 We will work on vocabulary study, understanding themes in the novel + a variety of literature skills.
