We will look at the ethical and legal concerns of biohacking and try to reach a conclusion on how society should deal with this phenomenon. In the lesson we will first discuss the following questions: - What is biohacking? - Have you ever done anything to improve an aspect of your biology? - this could be something as simple as using a smartwatch to track your exercise or something more extreme like intermittent fasting After this we will watch a short video together. The video is about Jo Zayner, a biohacker, artist, and scientist best known for his self-experimentation and work making hands-on genetic engineering accessible to a lay audience. You do not have to prepare for the lesson but if you would like to get the most out of the class I suggest that you think about your answers to the questions above and take a look at the useful vocabulary which is available after booking. **This lesson is for C1 (Advanced) students**
