🔷This class is tailored for individuals who: ・want to learn how to be aware of, approach, and pronounce each Japanese word correctly from the beginning of your learning journey, as lack of awareness can potentially lead to developing incorrect pronunciation habits, which can be much harder to correct later on. ・are interested in “the Japanese pitch accent,” a crucial aspect of spoken Japanese. ・speak Japanese with some level of comfort but aspire to refine their pronunciation to sound more native-like by learning what aspects they lack. 🔷Group lesson's strengths ・You will have the opportunity to hear and compare the pronunciations of various speakers, which can help you analyze and improve your own pronunciation more effectively. 🔷Pronunciation Points We practice ・Pitch accent『高低アクセント』 ・Long vowel『長音』 ・Double consonant "っ"『促音』 ・Consonant /m, n, ŋ, ɴ/ 『撥音』 ・Consonant /ɾ/ 『らりるれろ』 ・Intonation『語尾の上げ下げ』 🔷What do we do in the classes? ・We will explore the pronunciation of the words on the materials. Therefore, prior knowledge of Japanese is not necessary. ・We will incorporate the words we practice into sentences to apply techniques in actual conversation. 🔷What should you do before the class? There is no specific assignment prior to the class; however, please check the words in the materials if you have time.
