こんにちは！今日は8月13日火曜日です。「5分でわかる日本語」ポッドキャストへようこそ。私は日本語の先生、みわです。今日は、「毎（まい）」と「毎（ごと）」の違いについてお話しします。

まず、「毎（まい）」について説明します。「毎」は、くり返されることを表します。例えば、「毎日」「毎週」「毎月」のように使います。これらの単語は、ある決まった期間がくり返されることを意味します。たまに、「毎月（まいつき）」のことを「まいげつ」と間違えて言う人がいます。「まいつき」が正しいので、注意しましょう。

では、例文で確認していきましょう。「毎日朝ごはんを食べます。」という文があります。これは、次の日も次の日もくり返し朝ごはんを食べるという意味です。「毎週日曜日に友達と会います。」という文もあります。これは、次の日曜日にもその次の日曜日にも友達に会うという意味です。ここで注意があります。「毎日曜日」とは言いませんので、気をつけましょう。

次に、「毎（ごと）」について説明します。「ごと」は、一つ一つにわけて、その中で何かがあることを表します。「日ごと」「季節ごと」のように名詞の後ろにつけて使います。

例えば、「花が日ごとに大きくなります。」という文があります。これは、毎日大きくなっていくという意味です。「季節ごとに違う花が咲きます。」という文もあります。これは、春、夏、秋、それぞれ違う花が咲くという意味です。ここで注意があります。文字で「ごと」を書くときは、ひらがなで書くことが多いです。

「ごと」を使った例文をもう少し見てみましょう。
	・「クラスごとに発表をします。」
	・「大会ごとに参加する人が増えます。」
	・「町ごとに祭りの様子が違います。」

ここで、「毎（まい）」と「ごと」の使い方を比べてみましょう。例えば、「毎日」と「日ごと」の違いです。「毎日」は、次の日も次の日も同じことがくり返されることを表します。「毎日運動します。」は、昨日も今日も明日も運動することを意味します。「日ごと」は、毎日少しずつ変化があることを表します。「日ごとに寒くなります。」は、昨日より今日、今日よりも明日、寒くなっていくことを意味します。

ここで、皆さんに問題です。「毎」と「ごと」を使った正しい文はどれですか？
1.「毎朝早く起きます。」
2.「毎木曜日に映画を見ます。」
3.「毎日ごとに新しいことを勉強します。」
正解は「1.毎朝早く起きます。」です。
